INFORMATION ABOUT THE DIFFERENT
Colored Pencil is achieved by repeated
layers of strokes of color to get the desired effect. It does not
need any drying time. However again nothing should be put on the
surface. The pencil color is bound in a wax type base, that could be
scratched off. It should “not” be put in an area that will get a lot
of heat. Also certain colors may fade a little if hung in direct
sunlight. If you plan on putting in sunlight area you may want to
check out the possibility of getting a glass with an ultraviolet
protection. With colored pencil medium, ‘acrylic’ (water base
paint) of chalk pastel may be used to pull up white highlights or
fur patterns. Mixed media may include watercolor or pastel
background with colored pencil detail. Colored pencil & graphite art
will need a mat board and frame and glass.
